Jose Mourinho is likely to become the new coach of Benfica.
The 62-year-old Portuguese has reached an agreement in principle with the Lisbon club, which today dismissed Bruno Lage after the defeat in the first round of the Champions League by Azerbaijani Qarabag.
As reported by CNN Portugal, Mourinho's negotiations with Benfica are in the final stage.
It is noteworthy that in late August, Fenerbahçe dismissed Mourinho from his position in the Champions League play-off round as a result of the defeat by Benfica.
It should be noted that earlier, Jose had already led the Lisbon club from September to December 2000.
