Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has declared his country's readiness to engage in armed conflict in the Caribbean region if necessary.
"If we have to engage in armed conflict, we are more than ready for it," he said, commenting on Trump's military threats against him.
Maduro stressed that 2.5 million soldiers and militia have been mobilized throughout the country. Responding to Trump's accusations that the government is linked to drug cartels, Maduro called the figures that the White House leader cites regarding drug trafficking false.
