Harris calls Biden's candidacy a "negligence"

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has described Joe Biden’s decision to run for president in 2024 as a “blunder” in her new book, “107 Days.” The book, which will be released on September 23, chronicles the period from Biden’s withdrawal from the race to Donald Trump’s victory.

According to Harris, Biden’s participation could not be viewed as a purely personal decision: “We all kept saying, ‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ But in retrospect, I think it was a mistake. The stakes were too high to leave it up to the ego or ambition of one individual.”

In the book, the former vice president also mentions her own frustrations with the White House, emphasizing that Biden’s team often did not defend itself against attacks from Republicans or conservative media.

“They had a huge communications team, but it was almost impossible to get any positive feedback on my work or to counter false accusations,” she stressed.

Harris added that when her approval ratings started to rise and Biden’s didn’t, the president’s entourage didn’t like the contrast.
