Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has taken a defiant stance amid international criticism over Israel's raid on Hamas leaders in Doha.
"To Qatar and all the countries that are harboring terrorists, I say: expel them or bring them to justice, or we will," he said.
Netanyahu compared Israel's actions to the actions of the United States after the September 11, 2001, attacks.
"What did America do after September 11? It promised to pursue terrorists, no matter where they are. And two weeks later, the UN Security Council passed a resolution that no government has the right to harbor terrorists," he said.
Netanyahu stressed that Israel has followed this approach, accusing Qatar of harboring terrorists, funding Hamas, and providing sanctuary to its leaders.
"We did the same thing America did when it pursued al-Qaeda terrorists in Afghanistan and killed bin Laden in Pakistan. The same countries that applauded the United States for killing bin Laden should be ashamed that they are now condemning Israel," he added.
