Peskov declined to comment

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov declined to comment on the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace.

“We would not like to comment on this in any way. It is not within our jurisdiction. It is the jurisdiction of the Russian Defense Ministry,” he said.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the incident. However, media reports that the drones were Russian were confirmed by the Belarusian side. The country’s First Deputy Defense Minister, Pavel Muraveiko, referred to them as stray drones and stated that Belarus had allegedly warned Poland about the objects in the air.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, in turn, described the incident as about 20 drones entering Poland, most of them from Belarus.
