Trump and Modi expressed optimism about bilateral talks

Donald Trump announced that negotiations on removing trade barriers between the United States and India are ongoing.

The US President also expressed optimism about the upcoming conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"I am pleased to announce that India and the United States continue to negotiate on the removal of trade barriers between our countries. I look forward to speaking with my good friend Prime Minister Modi in the coming weeks. I am confident that we will easily reach a successful conclusion for our two great countries," Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.

This was followed shortly by a post by Indian Prime Minister Modi, this time on his X page.

The Indian Prime Minister expressed confidence that the ongoing trade negotiations will reveal the enormous potential of bilateral cooperation.

India and the United States are close friends and natural partners. "I am confident that our trade talks will pave the way for unlocking the immense potential of the India-US partnership. Our teams are working to conclude these discussions as soon as possible. I also look forward to speaking with President Trump. Together, we will work to ensure a brighter and more prosperous future for our people," Modi said.
