Azerbaijan expects a quick normalization of relations with France, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva said in an interview with the French press.
According to her, the deterioration of bilateral relations was due to Paris's "biased" position on the already ended conflict between Baku and Yerevan.
The Azerbaijani ambassador emphasized that Azerbaijan and Armenia are close to signing a peace treaty.
"We have truly closed the page of hostility between our countries. And at the moment, there is only one obstacle to the final signing of peace - the Armenian constitution," she said.
Abdullayeva also noted that the initialing of the agreement in Washington in the presence of US President Donald Trump demonstrates the parties' commitment to establishing good neighborly relations.
