Aliyev again used the term "Zangezur Corridor", emphasizing the importance of the project
Aliyev stated at the forum in Baku that Azerbaijan, located along the East-West and North-South corridors, is becoming one of Eurasia's most important transport and logistics centers. He also spoke about the Trump route, which is part of it, which he again called the “Zangezur Corridor”.
“At the same time, I do not doubt that the “Zangezur Corridor”, as one of the routes of the Middle Corridor, will play an important role in the near future as a major transport link connecting the continents. I believe that all these communication routes will also contribute to developing cooperation between the forum members,” he noted.
He reiterated that the initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia last month creates favorable opportunities for both the region and the more expansive geography.
