Nepal's Prime Minister resigns

Protests over the blocking of social networks have brought down the government in Nepal. Reuters reports this. It is reported that Nepalese Prime Minister Sharma Oli has resigned.

According to India Today, about ten helicopters even flew from Bhaisepati's residence to Tribhuvan Airport to evacuate officials.

It is worth noting that the reason for the large-scale protests in the country was the government's decision on September 7 to block 26 social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. This decision, along with the accumulated dissatisfaction with corruption, brought people to the streets. Already on September 8, the protests turned into riots: at least 19 people were killed.
