French Prime Minister Bayrou will resign

The French parliament has passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister François Bayrou. Bayrou will resign nine months after being appointed prime minister.

One hundred ninety-four deputies voted in favor, 364 against. Bayrou's cabinet was formed in late December 2024. Thus, it has existed for almost nine months.
