An Azerbaijani was arrested in Russia for aiding a Ukrainian terrorist group
Russian FSB officers have detained an Azerbaijani citizen in the Stavropol Territory for preparing terrorist attacks, the Russian FSB reported.
An Azerbaijani citizen was detained in the Stavropol Territory, who had voluntarily joined a Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in Russia. On the instructions of his leaders, he conducted a detailed reconnaissance of several places intended for sabotage and terrorist acts, in particular, in the administrative buildings of law enforcement agencies in the cities of Yessentuki and Stavropol and in transport infrastructure,” the report said.
According to the FSB, he acquired the necessary components and striking elements for the production of improvised explosive devices, placing them in a hiding place, and later intended to use the knowledge and skills acquired during his service in the special forces of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to assemble several explosive devices for terrorist attacks.
