Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received representatives of the US Certified Trade Mission to the Middle Corridor.
During the meeting, the historical significance of the discussions and documents signed on August 8, 2018, in Washington with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and the US and the Prime Minister of Armenia was noted.
It was emphasized that these agreements contribute to regional peace and progress, as well as open up broad prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-American relations. In this context, attention was paid to the importance of the project, which will ensure unhindered communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.
Information was provided on Azerbaijan’s long-term efforts to restore and revitalize the Middle Corridor.
The existence of strategic ties between Azerbaijan and partner countries on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea, including the countries of Central Asia, was noted with satisfaction.
Information was also provided on the large-scale work carried out by Azerbaijan together with partner countries to develop renewable energy resources and transfer them to Europe. In particular, attention was focused on the importance of specific projects, such as the construction of the Black Sea energy submarine cable.
