India has denied Azerbaijan's accusations that it is blocking the country's membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), explaining that the member states were unable to decide due to time constraints.
India's Ministry of External Affairs announced that both Armenia and Azerbaijan had applied to join the SCO. Still, due to time constraints, the member states were unable to decide on the issue in Tianjin. "The issue is still under discussion by the group," said spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal.
Recall that Azerbaijan accuses India of blocking its application to join the SCO with the help of Russia.
