Uzbekistan has demanded to find and punish the Russian who called an Uzbek taxi driver a “slave of the Russians.”
The country’s Foreign Ministry has sent an official note to the Russian Foreign Ministry after a scandalous video that caused a stir in Uzbekistan.
The footage shows a Russian citizen rudely insulting a taxi driver: “You are a slave, a slave of the Russians. You have come to work.”
The taxi driver, remaining calm, asks the man to stop insulting him, then gets in his car and drives away.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Akhror Burkhanov reminded that wherever Uzbek citizens are, they are under the protection of their state.
