Rosneft has signed an agreement with China to supply an additional 2.5 million tons of oil per year, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov said.
“We have signed an agreement with Rosneft and Chinese partners to supply an additional 2.5 million tons of oil via Kazakhstan,” he said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel, commenting on the results of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China.
The Russian government issued a decree in early May stating that the maximum volume of oil supplies to oil refineries in western China could be increased from 10 million tons to 12.5 million tons. The term of the supplies has been extended to a maximum of 2034.
