Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, left a "coalition of the willing" meeting in Paris after 20 minutes.
The Elysee Palace said this was planned, and the special envoy will return later, after European leaders have spoken by phone with Trump.
He will also meet with the Ukrainian delegation in Paris.
