US President Donald Trump has called on Hamas to return all prisoners. He wrote about this on social media.
“Tell Hamas to return all 20 hostages immediately (not on the 2nd, 5th, or 7th) and everything will change quickly. This will end,” he wrote.
In March, the Israeli army resumed military operations in Gaza, carrying out massive strikes and violating the January ceasefire.
Then, during the ceasefire, the sides managed to hold several rounds of prisoner exchanges, but the new escalation did not allow everyone to be returned.
