Xi Jinping warns of a choice between peace and war

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a stark message during the country's largest military parade, declaring that the world is facing a choice between peace and war. Addressing more than 50,000 people gathered in Tiananmen Square, Xi stressed that "the Chinese people are on the right side of history."

"Today, humanity is facing a choice between peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, win-win or zero-sum," Xi said.

He stressed that China is a great nation that "will never be intimidated by any hooligan."

He declared that China is "a great country that is never afraid of any pressure or threat," and stressed that the country is "inexhaustible." Xi's speech was followed by a grand display of military equipment, including hypersonic missiles, drones, and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un participated in the parade, which analysts said was a message to the West about strengthening China's alliance with North Korea.
