US President Donald Trump, in an interview with The Daily Caller, reflected on his meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska, noting that the parties did not reach an agreement on some issues.
According to Trump, relations with Putin have been “excellent” overall, but some disagreements remain over the Ukrainian settlement.
“I would like to see this all resolved by now. Maybe they will fight a little more. It makes no sense, but maybe they should continue to fight,” the president said.
Asked about possible trilateral talks, Trump said, “There will be a trilateral. I’m not sure about a bilateral, but a trilateral will happen. It’s just that sometimes people are not ready for it yet.”
