On September 1, the OSCE Ministerial Council adopted a decision to close the Minsk Process and related OSCE structures. This was stated in a statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
In accordance with a joint request from the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the activities of the OSCE Minsk Process, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and the High-Level Planning Group will be terminated as of September 1.
The OSCE Secretariat was instructed to resolve all administrative and technical issues arising from the closure of the aforementioned structures by December 1, 2025.
The decision also noted that all previously adopted decisions within the OSCE framework related to the former Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict lose their force and are no longer subject to application.
