Magdalena Grono, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, thanked Aliyev and Bayramov for the exchange of views during her visit to Azerbaijan. The EU Special Representative wrote about this on her X page.
Grono described the agreements reached in Washington as historic.
“In Azerbaijan, I conveyed the EU’s message of support for all aspects of a full settlement, including the opening of communications, the creation of peace benefits for the region, as well as the resolution of humanitarian and legacy issues.
I also visited Nakhchivan, where I met with the President’s Representative Najafli and got acquainted with the transport infrastructure on the ground, with a view to possible EU involvement,” the EU representative wrote.
