USAID liquidation process begins

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that Russell Vote will lead the process of liquidating the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“I jokingly told President Trump that I had four jobs. He suggested that I give one to my friend Russ, and that’s what happened. Since January, we have saved tens of billions of dollars at the expense of taxpayers. Major programs have been transferred to the State Department, and USAID is officially in the process of liquidation. Russ is now coordinating that process,” Rubio wrote.

It should be noted that on February 4, US President Donald Trump appointed Marco Rubio as the interim head of USAID. On July 1, Rubio announced that all foreign assistance provided by the agency was being suspended. Additionally, it was noted that taxpayers will receive detailed information about all US foreign assistance programs.
