Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga announced that 65 citizens have returned to the country from the border zone between Georgia and Russia.
“Among them are 10 women and 8 seriously ill people. All of them were in the “Daryale” state of emergency in Georgia, in the conditions of a humanitarian crisis created by Russia’s actions,” he said.
According to the minister, on August 21-22, a group of Ukrainian citizens managed to return from Georgia to Ukraine through the territory of Moldova.
It should be recalled that the humanitarian crisis on the Russian-Georgian border began in the second half of June after Russia, according to the Ukrainian side, began to purposefully sharply increase the number of Ukrainian citizens deported to that checkpoint.
In previous months, 44 citizens have already been returned to Ukraine.
