The White House has launched an official TikTok account.
President Trump has previously said TikTok helped him gain a lot of support among young voters, which played a role in his victory over Democrat Kamala Harris in November 2024.
Despite the app’s popularity, lawmakers in Washington continue to raise concerns about TikTok’s data security, fearing that the Chinese government could access the personal information of American users.
Trump continues to work on a deal to recruit American investors to buy TikTok from its Chinese parent company, ByteDance.
The first video, released Tuesday night and posted on the new Whitehouse TikTok page, features one of Trump’s speeches with the message “I am your voice.” The video was captioned with the following text: “America, we are back. How are you, TikTok?”
The official White House TikTok page now has 84,000 followers.
