More than 70 people were killed in a major road accident in Afghanistan

A passenger bus carrying Afghan refugees deported from Iran crashed into a truck and a motorcycle in western Afghanistan, causing a fire.

At least 71 people were killed, including 17 children. Police in Herat province said the accident was caused by speeding and driver negligence. Accidents are common in Afghanistan, where roads are poor, drivers are dangerous, and there are no traffic signals.
