US President Donald Trump has made several important statements on the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis. The US leader also touched upon the Putin-Zelensky meeting and his participation in it.

"I do not plan to participate in the first meeting between Putin and Zelensky. It will be held in a bilateral format," he said.

Trump also assured that as long as he is president, there will be no American troops in Ukraine, and it is also impossible for Crimea to return to Ukraine and for Kiev to join NATO.

"They will not be part of NATO, but there are European countries - France, Germany, Britain - that want to have troops there. I do not think that will be a problem," the US president emphasized.

Trump also expressed the opinion that Ukraine has been a buffer between Russia and Europe. Everything went its way until Biden came to power. The president again criticized Biden, calling his steps "stupid."

According to Trump, Ukraine will also gain a significant amount of territory.

"You know, everyone can cheat in one way or another. But, in the end, Ukraine will get its life back. They will stop losing people. And they will get a lot of land. But this is a war, and Russia is a powerful military power, whether anyone likes it or not. It is a great power, much greater. This is not the kind of war that should have been started. It is not done that way. You cannot go against a country that is 10 times bigger than you. Now they are talking about Donbass, but Donbass, as you know, is 79% controlled by Russia. They understand that," the US president added.
