US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will head a group to develop security guarantees for Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reports.
The US President and European leaders have agreed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will head a working group of National Security Advisors and NATO representatives to develop security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to the magazine, the package of guarantees will include four key elements: military presence, air defense systems, weapons supplies, and monitoring of the cessation of hostilities.
Moreover, as the WSJ notes, the US can provide indirect military support to European peacekeepers without deploying troops.
