Zelensky arrives in Washington

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Washington, where he is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump today. European leaders will also attend the meeting.

In a post published on Telegram, Zelensky thanked Trump for the invitation and said that he wants to end the war as quickly as possible. According to him, this should be done first by Russia.

"We all equally want to end this war quickly and reliably. And peace should be stable. Not like it was years ago, when Ukraine was forced to hand over Crimea and part of our east, part of Donbas, and Putin used it simply as a base for a new attack. Or when in 1994 Ukraine was given so-called "security guarantees", but they did not work," Zelensky wrote.

"Russia must end this war, which it started. And I hope that our joint strength with America and our European friends will force Russia to establish real peace. "Thank you," the Ukrainian leader added.
