Greece is battling wildfires for the second day, with thousands of people evacuated, Reuters reported.
The fire broke out near the city of Patras, which spread rapidly due to high temperatures and strong winds.
About 5,000 firefighters and 33 aircraft are involved in the firefighting operations.
The fire has destroyed homes, farms, and factories. Thousands of citizens and tourists have been evacuated. Train traffic has been suspended.
According to Reuters, Spain, Portugal, and Turkey have also been battling wildfires in recent days. Temperatures are reaching more than 40 degrees.
