Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas had a telephone conversation.
The High Representative congratulated the leaders of Azerbaijan, the United States, and Armenia on the signing of the joint statement, the initialing of the peace agreement, as well as other agreements reached.
It was noted that these agreements are of great importance for ensuring peace and stability in the region. Kaja Kallas emphasized the EU's readiness to support the advancement of the peace process constantly.
During the telephone conversation, views were also exchanged on issues and prospects arising from Azerbaijan-EU relations, as well as regional and international security issues.
