Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Zelensky shared the details of the conversation.
"I congratulated Mr. President and the entire people of Azerbaijan on the agreements reached with Armenia with the help of President Trump for lasting peace and reliable security in the South Caucasus region. The world received the trilateral meeting in Washington with significant positive reactions. We hope that everything will work out.
I informed the President about our contacts with our partners. Everyone is equally determined to stop the war and conduct effective diplomacy honestly. We discussed cooperation with the United States and European countries, as well as the main principles that can bring peace closer. I am grateful for the support of our people and statehood. It is essential that the joint efforts of the world finally force Russia to stop military operations and aggression.
We also discussed our energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. We managed to achieve significant results. "We agreed that we will not stop there and will continue to work to expand our capabilities. I was informed about the Russian attacks on our energy facilities. Ukraine considers this a deliberate attempt by Russia to disrupt the energy routes that provide us and other European countries with energy independence. We are doing everything to protect our country and our people," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.
