Turkey welcomes progress between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington

Turkey expressed its satisfaction with the progress made towards establishing a lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as with the agreement restored in Washington on August 8.

“We welcome the progress made towards establishing a lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the will expressed in Washington on August 8 in this context,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry noted that “this step taken at a time of heightened international conflicts and crises is an important milestone in achieving regional peace and stability.”

“We highly appreciate the contribution of the US administration to this process,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry stressed.
