Hours after the Israeli government decides to occupy Gaza City, the German authorities announced a partial suspension of arms supplies to the country.
"The export of military equipment to Israel that could be used in the Gaza Strip is being suspended," German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said.
Earlier, the Israeli Security Council approved a plan to "defeat" the Palestinian radical Hamas movement and establish control over Gaza City.
