Trump plans to sign several documents with Armenia and Azerbaijan. Reuters

According to the US White House, Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign a peace agreement today. Reuters writes. The initiative belongs to US President Donald Trump, who will host the leaders of the two countries for the official signing ceremony.

“This is not just about Armenia, it is not just about Azerbaijan. This is about the entire region. They understand that the region is safer and more prosperous with President Trump,” a senior White House official noted.

White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said that President Trump plans to sign several documents with Armenia and Azerbaijan related to energy, technology, economic cooperation, border security, infrastructure, and trade.
