Next week has been set as the target date for a meeting between Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, said Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian leader.
He was responding to a request from reporters to comment on a report by The New York Times (NYT) that Trump is planning to meet with Putin next week.
“The target date is next week, but the parties have already begun to prepare for this important meeting, and it is difficult to say how many days the preparations will take. However, the option of holding the meeting next week has been discussed, and we are quite positive about this option,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
