US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation. Zelensky reported this on his Telegram channel.
“I had a productive conversation with President Trump. The main thing, of course, is the end of the war. We are grateful to the President of the United States for all his efforts for a just and lasting peace,” he said.
Zelensky reported that he and Trump discussed sanctions against Russia.
“We discussed joint European decisions that can help our defense. Now we have decisions from the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark for more than a billion dollars in American weapons that Ukraine will receive. This interaction with NATO countries will continue. We also talked about our bilateral defense cooperation with America. The Ukrainian side has already prepared a draft agreement on drones, we are ready to discuss it in detail and sign it,” Trump wrote.
