Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to an “immediate” ceasefire that will take effect on July 29.
After talks in Malaysia, the parties agreed to an “immediate and unconditional” ceasefire. BILD reports that Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced this.
The meeting took place against the backdrop of an escalating conflict between the two countries over border territorial disputes. Details of the agreement have not been made public yet, but both sides have expressed their willingness to find a peaceful solution.
Earlier, Trump threatened to suspend trade talks between the two countries if they did not stop the conflict.
