Forest fires have been raging in several provinces of Turkey for several days.
Due to abnormal heat, fires are raging here, and in several provinces, they are approaching residential areas.
More than 1,300 residents of the provinces of Mersin and Karabuk have been urgently evacuated, and at least 10 firefighters have died as a result of the fires.
A forest fire that broke out in the east of the province of Antalya has spread to several districts of the neighboring province of Mersin due to strong winds.
"As a precaution, 125 residents of the village of Karaağa in Mersin province and 139 residents of the village of Lale, as well as 260 small cattle, have been evacuated," the statement said.
It is noted that firefighters continue to extinguish a forest fire that broke out near the village of Çavüşlar in the province of Karabuk in the north of the country.
"More than a thousand residents of 613 houses have been evacuated," local media reported. It is noted that 40 hectares of forest have been destroyed as a result of the fire that broke out on the Sogut plateau in Alanya province. Additionally, temperatures in several cities in eastern Turkey have reached 50 degrees.
