Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during recent contacts between Ukrainian and Russian representatives, for the first time in a long time, the prerequisites for a possible meeting at the level of heads of state began to be discussed.
According to him, the end of the war should begin with a dialogue between leaders.
"We always raise this issue publicly. They have also started discussing it now. This is already a movement towards some format," he noted.
Zelensky also added that recent actions on Russian territory likely influenced the Kremlin's position.
"A lot has happened not only through diplomacy, but also due to actions inside Russia. You have seen it," he emphasized.
