Thailand's health minister said 11 Thai civilians had been killed in the country's conflict with Cambodia, Reuters reported.
Somsak Thepsuthin condemned Cambodia's attack on the hospital, adding that such actions could be considered war crimes and that Cambodia must be held accountable.
Thailand's foreign ministry had earlier said that Cambodian troops had fired heavy artillery at Thai military bases and civilian areas, including a hospital, on Thursday morning, causing civilian casualties.
