According to Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place in Ankara before the delegations met in Istanbul.
We express our gratitude to Turkey and President Erdogan for their consistent political and security support for Ukraine throughout the war with Russia. We also thank Turkey for its readiness to provide a negotiating platform and support diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine,” Yermak said.
