US special envoy Steve Witkoff is set to meet with senior Qatari and Israeli officials in the Italian capital, Rome, tomorrow for a new round of talks on a ceasefire and prisoner swap, the American news outlet Axios reported.
The outlet reported that if the talks make sufficient progress, Witkoff will travel to Doha.
The meeting comes as Israel and Hamas are holding indirect talks in the Qatari capital, but the US special envoy has made it clear that he will only join the Doha talks if a deal is reached.
