US President Donald Trump shared a recent speech by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on his Truth page. Here, Aliyev speaks about Trump and praises him, as well as his mediation efforts in the South Caucasus, an initiative aimed at supporting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“And we are also very grateful to him for his efforts to help Azerbaijan and Armenia finally agree. Although he is busy with more global issues of international security, he also keeps a close eye on the situation in the South Caucasus.
We in Azerbaijan are happy that he won for many reasons, and, of course, we want him to see the matter through to the end, especially about the Washington swamp, so that it dries up to the bottom,” Aliyev says in the video shared by Trump.
