Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi. According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip, Syria, and Tehran's upcoming talks with the three EU countries.
"The humanitarian situation in Gaza, the events in Syria, and the talks on Iran's nuclear program, which will take place in Istanbul on Friday, were discussed," the statement said.
It was previously reported that a new round of talks between Iran and the three EU countries on resolving the crisis over Iran's nuclear program will take place on July 25 in Istanbul. The talks will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
