China is dissatisfied with the 18th package of EU sanctions against Russia

China's Ministry of Commerce has stated that the new EU sanctions have harmed relations between Beijing and Brussels. This is the 18th package of sanctions against Moscow, which the European Union adopted on July 18.

"The EU's actions contradict the agreements reached between the leaders of China and the EU and will have a serious negative impact on trade relations and financial cooperation between China and the EU," the ministry representative said.

One hundred and five tankers of the Russian shadow fleet have been placed under Brussels restrictions. The ceiling for Russian oil prices has been lowered to $47.6 per barrel. Two Chinese banks, Heihe Rural Commercial Bank and Heilongjiang Suifenhe Rural Commercial Bank, have also been added to the sanctions list.
