Dr Khalil al-Dakran, a spokesman for Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Bala, told the BBC that the situation in Gaza's hospitals had become critical.
"19 people, including children, have died of starvation. Hospitals can no longer provide food to patients and staff, many of whom are physically unable to continue working due to severe hunger," he said.
He added that even basic baby food items are no longer available.
"Hospitals cannot provide a single bottle of milk to starving children because all the baby food in the market has been sold out," he stressed.
