It is necessary to make changes to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, and, in principle, that is all, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, adding that the text of the peace treaty has already been agreed upon.
Regarding the “Zangezur Corridor,” Aliyev stressed that there should be no external control on the territory of Azerbaijan.
“It is necessary to have unhindered access from one part of Azerbaijan to another. Azerbaijani citizens should not clash with Armenian border guards, as this may be unsafe,” he said, according to Azerbaijani media.
Aliyev also stated that US President Donald Trump is stopping the wars and thanked him for his desire to help Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“In parallel with dealing with global issues, Trump is monitoring the situation in the South Caucasus,” the Azerbaijani president said.
