I declare a complete ceasefire in the province of As-Suwayda. Syrian President

To prevent bloodshed, preserve the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and in response to national and humanitarian responsibilities, the Syrian Arab Republic declares a complete and immediate ceasefire in the province of As-Suwayda. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa made the announcement, SANA reported.

He called on all citizens to pave the way for the Syrian state, its institutions, and forces to implement the ceasefire responsibly in a way that ensures stability and stops the bloodshed.

“We call on all parties, without exception, to fully adhere to the decision, immediately cease all military operations in all areas, ensure the safety of civilians, and provide humanitarian assistance without any obstacles. In this context, security forces have begun to deploy in several areas to ensure the implementation of the ceasefire regime, maintain public order, and protect citizens and their property,” he said.

Recall that earlier in the Syrian province of As-Suwayda, clashes broke out between Bedouin militias and Druze armed groups. In response, the Syrian government sent troops, while Israel protected the Druze community and carried out strikes on Damascus.
