Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is holding talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, not Abbas Araghchi, in China on the sidelines of the SCO Foreign Ministers' meeting.
"We have the opportunity to discuss some issues that are developing very rapidly," Lavrov said at the start of the meeting.
The parties have not yet provided any further details about the meeting.
