Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump, thanking him for his support.
Zelensky reported this on the Telegram social network.
“I spoke with US President Donald Trump. It was an excellent conversation. I thank Ukraine for its support and willingness to continue joint work to stop the killings. Trump spoke about his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and it is important that we have such good relations, and the alliance countries are trying to increase defense spending,” he wrote.
According to Zelensky, they discussed the necessary measures and solutions to ensure better protection of people from Russian attacks and strengthen Ukraine’s positions.
“We are ready to work as effectively as possible to achieve peace. We agreed to have more frequent phone conversations and continue to coordinate our steps,” Volodymyr Zelensky concluded.
